Dr. Sanford is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. He is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists and the New England Society of Orthodontics.

Before opening his office in Wilton center in 1987, he was a partner in a large New York City practice for 10 years. He was also on staff at New York Hospital/Cornell Medical Center.

Dr. Sanford received his D.M.D. with high honors from the University of Pennsylvania and his Certificate in Orthodontics and Masters Degree in Science from Boston University.

Dr. Sanford treats chidren of all ages and treats adults using a shortened time frame, usually within 6-9 months. He prefers a conservative, non-extraction approach to treatment whenever possible.
